Service Types
Create and manage service types for your company, including chain-wide catalogs and member distribution.
Company service types
Define and organize the services your company offers from the company service types table. The count badge shows how many service types are available, and Add Service Type opens the form for creating another one.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The service type name. |
| Description | A short explanation of the service. |
| Source | Whether the service type is owned by your company or pushed from a chain parent. |
| Active | The current active state for company-owned service types. |
| Edit | Opens the service type for changes. |
| Delete | Removes a company-owned service type. |

Managing service types requires the appropriate company settings permission.
Chain-pushed service types
When your company belongs to a chain, service types pushed from the chain parent appear in the company service types table as read-only rows. You cannot toggle the active state, edit, or delete a chain-pushed service type.
Company-owned service types remain under your company's control. You can activate, deactivate, edit, or delete those rows.
Chain master catalog
Chain parent organizations use the Chain Master Catalog tab to maintain service types that can be distributed to member companies. Add entries to the catalog, then push them to members or configure them to push to new members.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The master catalog service type name. |
| Description | Additional information about the service type. |
| Active status | Whether the catalog entry is active or inactive. |
| Created date | When the catalog entry was created. |
| Push to Members | Distributes the service type to member companies. |
| Pushed status | Shows whether the service type has been pushed. |
Pushing a service type creates a copy in the selected member companies. Deleting a master catalog entry also removes copies that were already pushed to members.
Permissions
Managing service types requires the company settings permission for service types. Users without that permission see an access-restricted message.
Service types are available on all plans. Chain head offices see the master catalog instead of the normal service type list.
