Inspection Library
Browse starter inspection templates, preview their structure, and clone them into your company to customize and publish.
Browsing the library
The library is part of the Inspection module. It is available to companies with the Inspection add-on, to companies that belong to a chain, and during a live trial. The plan does not matter, and every company with access sees the same starters. No starter is limited to a specific plan. A Vadio administrator can switch the Inspection module off for a company, and new chains start with it off.
Browse starter inspection templates when you want to begin with a ready-made structure instead of building a template from scratch. Preview a starter, clone it into your company, then continue editing and publishing it for your inspections. Superadmins maintain the central catalog of reusable starters.
Each starter appears as a template card with the information available for that template. Select a card to inspect its structure before deciding whether it fits your workflow.
Previewing a starter template
Preview a starter before cloning it to confirm that its workflow and evidence requirements match your inspection process.
Preview a starter template
Open Inspection Library, then select a starter template card. Review the preview to see:
- The template's steps and item structure
- Available answer types
- Required evidence, such as photos or other supporting information
Close the preview when you are ready to return to the library, or continue by cloning the starter.
Cloning a starter
Clone a starter when its structure is a suitable starting point for your company. Vadio creates a new draft template in your company, so you can adapt it before publishing.
Clone a starter template
From the starter's preview or template card, select the option to clone it. Vadio adds a new draft template to your company's template list.
Open the cloned template and adjust its steps, items, answer types, and evidence requirements for your process. Save your changes, then publish the template when it is ready.
A cloned template is a new, independent draft:
- It has no published versions and an empty version history. Its history starts when you publish it for the first time.
- It has no link back to the starter. Later changes to the starter do not reach your copy.
- It is not marked as certified, even when it follows a standard. Mark it as certified yourself if that applies.
- Its name is the starter's name followed by "(kopi)". Rename it as needed.
Right after cloning, the confirmation message offers Undo clone, which removes the new draft.
Review the cloned template's steps and answer types before publishing. Confirm that each item collects the evidence your inspectors need and that the structure matches the process you want to use in the field.
Tenant templates in the library
The library also shows templates owned by your company. Cloned starters appear in your company's template list as ordinary draft templates, where you can continue editing and manage their publication.
Superadmin catalog management
Superadmins create and edit reusable starter templates and maintain the central inspection-template catalog. Changes to the catalog control the starters available for companies to browse and clone.
Catalog management is available to superadmins only.
