From Inspection to Quote
Automatically propose priced quote lines from inspection findings using AI and catalog matching.
How It Works
Automatically generate priced quote line proposals from inspection findings when a deal is linked. Review each proposal, accept or reject lines, promote custom suggestions to the catalog, and re-propose from a newer report version.
This feature requires the Inspection module and the CRM/Offers module. For the full inspection report lifecycle, see Inspection Reports. For deals and offers, see Deals & Offers.
When an inspection completes, its evidence is frozen into an evidence bundle and a report draft is generated. After the report draft completes, a linked deal automatically triggers a proposal. The AI reads the report findings, searches your company catalog, and proposes priced lines. Only accepted lines become part of a draft offer.
Proposed line fields
| Field | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Finding or block ID | The report finding that supports the proposed line. |
| Line name | The name of the proposed offer line. |
| Unit | The unit used for the line. |
| Price | The proposed price in øre. |
| VAT rate | The VAT rate applied to the line. |
| Catalog ID | The matched catalog item ID, or null when no catalog item matches. |
Quantity handling
The AI never infers quantity. Every proposed line defaults to a quantity of 1, and you set the final quantity while reviewing the proposal.
Catalog match vs. custom suggestion
The AI searches your company catalog for each finding. When it finds a confident match, the proposed line uses the catalog item's name, unit, price, VAT rate, and catalog ID.
When no catalog item matches, the AI creates a custom suggestion using the default VAT rate for your company. Custom suggestions remain editable until you accept them.
The search covers every active item in your company catalog. Archived catalog items are never searched or matched. You cannot scope or filter the search to part of the catalog.
What You Control
Accept, edit, reject, or promote
Review each proposed line beside its supporting evidence before building the draft offer.
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Accept | Approves the line as proposed and makes it part of the draft offer. |
| Edit | Modifies the line details before you accept it. |
| Reject | Discards the proposed line. |
| Promote | Moves an accepted custom suggestion into the catalog. This requires the offers author permission and catalog creation permission. |
Re-propose from a newer report version
If you refine the report after generating a proposal, re-propose from the newer report version. Previously accepted lines remain available for review and stay clearly associated with the report version they came from.
Free-text refinement
Use free-text refinement to provide instructions for adjusting the proposed lines. Review the updated suggestions before accepting them.
Deal linking
A proposal requires a deal. If the inspection has no linked deal, choose an existing deal or create a new one before proposal generation starts.
Fallback and Stale Handling
Deterministic fallback
A deterministic fallback matcher is used when catalog search is unavailable, the AI returns no usable lines, the model call fails, or the AI returns lines that do not correspond to real findings. The fallback keeps proposals tied to actual inspection findings.
Stale proposals
Each proposal stores the report version used to price it. If you refine the report later, the proposal is marked stale. A warning banner at the top of the proposal panel shows both the priced report version and the current report version, and says the findings may have changed. If you are allowed to decide on the proposal lines, the banner includes a re-propose action. You can also keep reviewing the lines as they stand.
Accepted lines that were agreed on an older report version carry a Stale badge, and the draft offer bar shows which version the lines were priced against. No separate notification is sent when a proposal becomes stale.
A stale proposal cannot be archived or deleted. Re-propose to bring it up to the current report version.
Previously accepted lines remain reviewable and keep their version information.
Suppression for certified reports
Certified or regulatory reports suppress proposal generation entirely. A deal-linked inspection can trigger a proposal unless the report is explicitly suppressed or certified.
Plan Limits
Proposal generation uses the inspection token pool shared with inspection report drafting and refining. The inspection pool is separate from the meeting summary pool, so usage in one pool does not subsidize the other.
| Entitlement | Inspection Token Pool |
|---|---|
| No entitlement | 0 |
| Trial | 250,000 |
| Inspection add-on | 1,250,000 |
