Chain & OversightEndorsement

Endorsement

Control the chain endorsement mark on chain-sourced work, verify member affiliations, and review flagged affiliation claims.

Endorsement overview

Use Endorsement to manage the chain's mark on chain-sourced work and verify which member companies belong to the chain. Parent company users manage the endorsement and review affiliations, while member company users see a read-only view of their affiliation and endorsement status.

Parent controls

The parent endorsement page shows the current chain-wide status:

MetricWhat it shows
Endorsement statusWhether the endorsement is Live or Off.
Confirmed membersThe number of active members whose chain affiliation is verified.
Members carrying the markThe number of members currently eligible to show the endorsement mark.

Use the chain-wide switch labeled Show the [chain] mark on chain-sourced work to enable or disable the endorsement mark on chain-sourced offers, certificates, and emails.

The endorsement switch does not change a member company's logo, name, colors, or domain. The mark is shown only when endorsement is enabled and the member's affiliation is verified.

Member roster

The roster lists active member companies and shows the information you need to review their endorsement status.

Member informationWhat it shows
Member nameThe company's name.
Organization numberThe company's registered organization number.
Chain recordsThe number of chain records or jobs associated with the member.
Mark statusWhether the member currently carries the chain endorsement mark.

Search the roster by member name or organization number to find a specific company.

Flagged affiliations

Flagged affiliations come from migration or import cases where a company claimed a chain affiliation that did not match an existing membership.

ColumnWhat it shows
Member nameThe company that claimed the affiliation.
Organization numberThe company's registered organization number.
Claimed chain nameThe chain name entered during migration or import.
ActionsOptions to confirm the member or mark the claim as not a membership.

Choose Confirm member when the company belongs to the chain. Confirmation verifies the affiliation and changes its status to Confirmed.

Choose Not a member or Dismiss when the claim does not represent a valid membership. The affiliation remains unverified and its status changes to Dismissed.

Flagged companies do not receive the endorsement mark until you confirm their affiliation.

Member endorsement view

Member company users see a read-only page that explains their relationship with the parent chain. The page can show one of four states:

StateWhat it means
Not a chain memberThe company does not have a chain membership.
Affiliation pendingThe company has a chain affiliation that has not been verified.
Parent endorsement switch offThe affiliation may be verified, but the parent has disabled the chain-wide endorsement.
Confirmed member with endorsement activeThe company is verified and the parent endorsement is enabled.

The page displays:

  • Chain name.
  • Membership date.
  • Affiliation verification status.
  • Parent endorsement switch status.
  • An example chain-sourced document.
  • An example member-owned document.
  • A Part of [chain] endorsement pill when the endorsement is active.

The chain-sourced example shows where the parent mark can appear. The member-owned example keeps the member company's own branding.

The member view is read-only. Members do not have a switch to override verification or enable the parent endorsement. Members with profile management permission can link to White-labeling settings to manage their own company branding.

There is no switch in the member's app for showing or hiding the Part of [chain] mark. A confirmed member carries the mark automatically while the chain-wide switch is on, and loses it when the head office turns the switch off.
