Submissions & Analytics
Browse form submissions, search and filter responses, export CSV, and analyze views, conversion rates, funnel drop-off, and traffic sources.
Manage submissions and analyze performance
Browse paginated submissions, search answers, filter by date, open submission details, inspect field values and metadata, configure visible columns, and export responses as CSV. Review total views, total submissions, conversion rate, daily activity, funnel progression, step drop-off, and traffic sources with per-source metrics across the last 7 days, last 30 days, last 90 days, or all time.
Browsing submissions
Use the submissions table to find individual responses or narrow the list to a specific period.
Browse and search submissions
Open your form's submissions view. Browse the paginated list, search submitted answers, or apply a date filter to find responses from a specific period.
Select a submission to open its detail sheet. The table updates to show results that match your search and filters.
Submission detail
Open a submission's detail sheet to inspect its submitted field values and available metadata. Field values show the answers captured from visible form fields.
Submission metadata includes:
- IP address: Always stored for persisted submissions. The value may be
unknownwhen no usable address is available. - User agent: The visitor's browser user-agent value, or an empty value when the browser does not provide one.
- Referrer: The page that referred the visitor, when provided by the browser. This value may be empty.
- reCAPTCHA score: The score recorded for the submission, when reCAPTCHA is configured.
- Step completion times: How long the visitor spent on the steps they moved through, in milliseconds, listed by step ID. The final step may be missing, and a step visited twice shows only the latest visit. These times appear only here, in the metadata of a single submission. The analytics pages do not show them.
- Flag status: A submission is flagged when reCAPTCHA fails or the score falls below the form's configured threshold.
Metadata depends on what the visitor's browser provides. The IP address is always stored for a persisted submission, but the referrer may be empty.
Configuring columns
Control which columns appear in the submissions table to focus on the information you review most often. Use the column visibility menu to show or hide available columns without changing the stored submission data.
Exporting CSV
Export submission data as a CSV file from the submissions view. The export includes these columns in order:
- Submission Date
- Field labels in the form's step order
- Flagged
- IP Address
The export excludes section header fields. Values are formatted as follows:
- File, image, and video arrays become comma-separated URLs.
- Multi-select and checkbox arrays become comma-separated values.
- Boolean values become
YesorNo. - The flag value becomes
YesorNo.
CSV exports do not include user agent, referrer, reCAPTCHA score, or step completion times. Exports stream submissions in batches of 100 and have no explicit row limit.
Apply search and date filters before exporting when you need a targeted CSV instead of the full submission history.
Analytics overview
Analytics show how many visitors view your form, how many submit it, and how activity changes over time.
| Metric | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Total views | The number of times the form was loaded. Every load counts, including repeat visits and reloads by the same person |
| Total submissions | The number of successful form submission events |
| Conversion rate | Total submissions divided by total views, expressed as a percentage and rounded to two decimal places. It uses total views, not unique visitors |
| Daily activity | Views and submissions recorded for each day in the selected range |
The form records these analytics events:
- Form views: Recorded when the form loads.
- Step started: Recorded when a visitor enters a step.
- Step completed: Recorded when a visitor navigates away from a step.
- Form submitted: Recorded after a successful submission.
Views are not filtered. Automated traffic that loads the form in a browser is counted like any other visit, so bots can raise the view count and lower the conversion rate.
Funnel analysis
Use funnel analysis to compare progression through each form step. The funnel shows started counts, completed counts, and drop-off percentages for every step.
The funnel shows how many respondents reach each step and where they drop off.
For each step, analytics include:
- Started count: The number of visitors who entered the step.
- Completed count: The number of visitors who navigated away from the step.
- Drop-off percentage: The percentage calculated from started and completed counts.
Traffic sources
Review referrer sources to see where form traffic originated. Each source includes its views, submissions, and conversion rate.
Analytics referrer sources come from the referrer value sent with the form's tracking event. This differs from the per-submission referrer captured from the HTTP Referer header during submission.
Date ranges
Choose a date range for analytics and traffic source metrics.
| Range | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Last 7 days | Activity from the previous 7 days |
| Last 30 days | Activity from the previous 30 days; this is the default |
| Last 90 days | Activity from the previous 90 days |
| All time | All available activity, with no lower date bound |
