Portal Overview
Distribute chain-wide content, brand assets, campaigns, and supplier agreements to member companies.
What the Member Portal Is
Use the Member Portal to publish chain or HQ content to member companies, including articles, branding assets, campaigns, communications, supplier information, and agreements.
The portal is a content hub for organizations with a parent company or chain structure. HQ users create and manage content, while member-company users access the published content relevant to their company.
The Member Portal does not depend on the plan. It is available to chain member companies, and to head office admins who are viewing a member. Only head offices can create and edit content.
The Member Portal differs from the Customer Portal in audience and purpose:
| Portal | Audience | Primary content |
|---|---|---|
| Member Portal | Companies belonging to a parent company or chain organization | Articles, campaigns, agreements, suppliers, communications, tools, and branding |
| Customer Portal | Customers of an individual company | Orders, messages, and invoices |
Who authors vs. who views
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Authors | HQ users with author permission create, publish, schedule, and archive content. |
| Member-company users | View published content, subscribe to campaigns, complete communications, browse suppliers and agreements, and mark agreements as in use. |
Audience targeting
Target each piece of content to the member companies that need it. Audience targeting can use an overall audience scope, specific regions, and individual company IDs.
Targeting keeps regional guidance, supplier agreements, and company-specific communications visible only to the relevant member companies.
Published content is visible only to member companies that match its audience targeting rules.
Content lifecycle
Content moves through four states as authors prepare, publish, and retire it.
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | In progress and not visible to members. |
| Scheduled | Set to publish automatically at a chosen date. |
| Published | Live and visible to targeted member companies. |
| Archived | Removed from active view but retained for reference. |
Notifications
The Member Portal supports two notification channels: in-app notifications and email.
Authors can use a manual notify action to send a notification to the content audience. For campaigns, agreements, and suppliers, the author chooses in-app, email, or both, and sees how many members the notification reaches before sending. For the About page, branding assets, and tools, the notification is in-app only.
Management dashboard
The management dashboard gives authors a summary of portal activity across campaigns, branding, suppliers, agreements, and tools. Review content counts by Draft, Scheduled, and Published, along with agreements that are approaching expiration.
